The Borough’s master plan is to modernize the recreational area, better accommodate larger gatherings with the construction of an amphitheater, build a multi-purpose indoor recreation center which will offer more flexibility for activities and space for all ages throughout the year, install a disk-golf course, construct rain gardens, plant shade trees, and provide better accessibility for all in the form of accessible parking and accessible walking paths to all existing features of the park including the hiking trailhead.

The new amphitheater would allow the Borough to accommodate larger crowds, attract other vendors such as local school programs, orchestras, movie night, comedy shows, etc. and allow the pavilion to be used for additional seating, food vendors, games of chance, etc.

The multi-purpose indoor recreation center will enable the community to have year-round access to youth activities, BINGO, parties, private events, exercise classes, etc. The building will be large enough to accommodate a full-sized basketball court, an office, some storage space, and a small kitchen with concession windows. In addition, this facility will also accommodate accessible indoor and outdoor restrooms.

The park will remain open to the public throughout the year while the existing buildings along with the proposed infrastructure will be available to rent as they are now.
